Social Solidarity Income Service.
KEA is a new welfare program that combines:
1. Income Support
2. Additional social services, benefits and goods (eg. free medical care for the uninsured).
3. Promotion of beneficiaries, if they can work, in actions aimed at their integration or reintegration into the labor market.
The amount guaranteed by the program for each household, depending on the number and age of its members, after the payment of the income support of KEA is defined as follows:
For the single person household: €200 per month.
For each additional adult member of the household: increase of the guaranteed amount by €100 per month.
For each minor member of the household: increase of the guaranteed amount by 50€ per month.
In a single-parent family, ie one in which a single parent (single, widowed or divorced, or due to the detention of the other parent in a penitentiary) needs to calculate the guaranteed amount the oldest minor member is considered an adult.
In a household with an unprotected child, for the purposes of calculating the guaranteed amount, each unprotected child is considered an adult.
The maximum amount of the guaranteed amount is set at €900 per month, regardless of the composition of the household.
